Writing Challenge-Day #13
What are you excited about?
What am I not excited about? Actually, there are plenty in both categories. Right now, I would say that I am excited about the soon arrival of the latest mini version of us. Although we have been down this road several times before, it still amazes me to watch the whole process unfold. From the first inklings of growth, to the stomach morphing kicks and punches and finally to the grand reveal. Every step along the way is amazing.
To add to the above mentioned excitement is the realization that each child will be totally unique, rewarding and challenging. We have tried to raise each of our children with the same values and teachings but as they all grow, they have such widely varying attitudes and characteristics. This to me is the beauty of diversity. Maybe it would be easier if they each acted the same as the one above them, but what would be the fun in that?
I anticipate that the upcoming child will be perfect, in every way. (Actually, I expect them to be awesome. Not quite perfect, but awesome anyway).
